Have you bid on the Zeekler auctions? How much did you spend before actually winning? Some bidders didn't realize they were paying for bids, then paying for the item if they won it. You can sometimes score good deals on penny auction sites, but I rarely heard of anyone actually winning on Zeekler.com, before they were shut down, without spending a LOT of money.
If you like penny auctions, and want to try one, the best one I've found is Quibids. If you sign up and purchase the first bid pack, they usually give you some free bids as well. If you decide to try it out, make sure you do your research on the item and the bidders before you jump in expecting to win. Happy bidding if you decide to try it.
